our
history

In the early 1990’s Dr. Jerome Kane moved to the Mid-Cities area at the invitation of the hospital now known as Medical City North Hills. Around the same time, Dr. Scott Hall was recruited to Bedford by the Texas Health Harris Methodist H-E-B hospital. Drs. Kane and Hall served as the staff neurologists in these hospitals. They were the only ones providing neurologic care in the Mid-Cities area, which, at the time, had a population of 350,000 people. In 1995, Drs. Kane and Hall formed the private practice named “Mid-cities Neurology Associates of H/E/B”. In 1999, Dr. James Barry, classmate of Dr. Kane during residency, moved from Arkansas and joined the practice. In 2001, Mid-Cities Neurology Associates of H/E/B was renamed “Kane Hall Barry Neurology”.

In 2004, Kane Hall Barry Neurology opened a freestanding biologics infusion center. Kane Hall Barry was the first neurology practice in the region to infuse Tysabri, the breakthrough biologic therapy for Multiple Sclerosis. Other infusion firsts have followed.

In 2005, Kane Hall Barry Neurology expanded to the Keller/North Fort Worth area, opening a second location.

Kane Hall Barry Neurology began residential care visits in 2010 to offer care for patients outside of the hospital and office.

In 2016, Kane Hall Barry Neurology moved the Keller office to a bigger space to accommodate the booming area.  In response to the demand, an infusion center was added to the Keller office in 2020.

In 2022, we added Spirometry testing (pulmonary function testing) to shorten the wait time for patients needing treatments.

Kane Hall Barry Neurology now has eight board-certified neurologists and three Nurse Practitioners. Our providers have subspecialties and added certifications to provide the best patient care.

The practice continually evaluates new and innovative ways to meet the needs of our patients and to improve the patient experience.  The practice will continue to grow to meet the increasing need for neurological care in the North Texas area.
